Alex. has been the Founder, Chairman & CEO of Ecosse Business Group since 2005; an industry executive management consulting company assisting global clients in the business turn-around space and with process management, including with angel investing for small & medium enterprises (SME) businesses.
Alex. is renowned for his business knowledge in medical devices, telemedicine systems, communications technology; including video, wireless, internet and management processes. He has a global presence having lived in nine Countries on Five Continents and has spent many years since arriving in the U.S. helping start-ups.
Alex has been a management member of numerous start-up businesses two exiting via IPO and three through buy-outs. He has sat on numerous company boards.
Alex’s Alma Mata was the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa studying Management; Marketing at the University of South Africa; Quality Assurance and Telecommunications at City & Guilds of London; plus, Project Management with the South African Institute of Project Management.
In January 2017 Alex was appointed a GlobalScot by the Scottish Parliament helping Scottish Development International identify businesses for investment and also assisting Scottish companies with market launch help in the USA.

Mike is a partner with Procopio, the firm's Business & Technology team, where he served as Team Leader for over 10 years. He is also a member of the firm's Corporate and Securities practice group, where he served as group leader for 5 years, and a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions practice group, the Emerging Growth and Technology group, and the Licensing practice group. Mike advises clients in business strategy and in corporate, securities, intellectual property and related tax issues in a full range of legal projects. These include mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, including angel and venture capital, licensing, strategic alliances, joint ventures and corporate partnering, equity compensation plans, manufacturing and distribution agreements, technology transactions, and start up business formation and structuring. Mike has represented companies in a variety of industries, including life science, healthcare, medical devices, information technology, software, hardware, internet, telecommunications and defense, as well as various retail, service, entertainment, real estate, and manufacturing industries. Mike has also represented US, European, Asian and Latin American companies in various outbound and inbound international transactions, including the establishment of subsidiaries in the United States and varying international jurisdictions.
